Public Health dept. holds Orientation for MPH Summer-2025 Freshers



The Department of Public Health at ASA University Bangladesh (ASAUB) organized an orientation ceremony to welcome the MPH freshers of the Summer-2025 semester. The event was held at the IQAC room in last Saturday with a cordial and inspiring atmosphere, aiming to introduce the new students to the academic environment, rules, and facilities of the university.

Professor Dr. S. M. Rezaul Karim, Vice-Chancellor of ASAUB, graced the ceremony as the Chief Guest. In his speech, he warmly welcomed the newcomers and encouraged them to pursue their studies with dedication, discipline, and determination. He emphasized the importance of public health education in addressing the growing health challenges of the nation and beyond.

Registrar (Acting) Mrs. Zinat Tara attended the event as the Special Guest. She highlighted the academic facilities and student support services available at ASAUB and assured the students of the university’s continuous guidance throughout their academic journey.

Th program was chaired by Dr. Jesmin Akter, Chairmen(in-chagre) of Public Health department. Along with that, other faculty and officials were present there.

In welcome speech, the Head of the Department of Public Health expressed her heartfelt greetings to the freshers and encouraged them to embrace their new journey with dedication and optimism. She highlighted that studying public health is both a noble and timely pursuit, as today’s world faces challenges such as pandemics, malnutrition, and environmental hazards. She further assured that the department is committed to equipping students with academic knowledge, research opportunities, and practical skills, while also fostering leadership and ethical responsibility. “Your time here is not only about achieving a degree, but also about preparing yourselves to serve humanity with compassion and responsibility,” she remarked

Faculty members of the Department of Public Health were shared valuable insights on academic activities, research opportunities, and future career prospects in the field. The orientation concluded with an interactive session where students had the opportunity to ask questions and express their expectations.
