Students of the department of Public Health organized a seminar on contemporary public health problems on 17th May in IQAC conference room. Professor Dr. Sk. Akhtar Ahmad, Professor, Department of Occupational and Environmental Health, Bangladesh University of Health Sciences (BUHS) was the key note speaker. He highlighted different aspects of climate changes with its environmental consequences. He emphasized to the global movement on ‘BEAT the heat’ campaign as well as the role of public health professionals to deal with the catastrophe. .
Presentation on different contemporary public health problems by the students was the core part of the scientific session. Dr. Jesmin Akhter, Chairman In-Charge, Department of Public Health Chaired the occasion. Faculty members and officials also present in the seminar.
