Why Study English at ASAUB:


The Department of English in the ASA University Bangladesh (ASAUB) provides innovative, exciting
state-of-the-art teaching methodologies, using exclusive teaching aids and materials in a
student-friendly environment.

The Department has recruited highly experienced teachers who are ready to fulfill the needs of the
students. The medium of instruction is English. Other notable features include:

  • Three distinct periods for admission in a year: Spring, Summer, and Fall
    semesters;

  • Innovative and pragmatic curriculum to meet the demands of the job market

  • Studying in a vibrant academic culture ensured by the activities of the English Club alongside other
    clubs like the Social Welfare Club, the Photography Club, the Career and Language Club,the
    Cultural Club, and the Debate Club

  • An arrangement for internship and placement in different reputed organizations.

Program Objective:


  • To produce graduates with excellent communicative skills through studying discrete
    courses on reading, writing, listening, and speaking;

  • To guide the students to know the historical background, philosophy, society, politics,
    religion, art, and literature of a particular period;

  • To prepare the students for innovative works

  • To enlighten the students through studying traditional and modern literary theories and
    criticism;

  • To introduce the students with terms and theories of linguistics for an in-depth
    understanding of language
