Seminar:Entrepreneurship & Innovation

 

ASA University Bangladesh Career Counseling Center (ASAUBCCC), Dhaka Chamber of Commerce & Industry (DCCI) and Bangladesh Bank jointly organized a motivational workshop for its students in ASAUB campus on 30 June, 2013 for the development of new entrepreneurs. Two thousand new entrepreneurs will get the chance to attend ÒDCCI Entrepreneurship and Innovation Expo 2013” which will be held in 1 and 2 November 2013. As the part of this Expo, DCCI took the initiative to organize this motivational workshop. Honorable Vice Chancellor of ASAUB Professor Dr. Dalem Ch. Barman was also present in this workshop as opener of the program. Head of ASAUBCCC and Additional Director of ASAUB Mr. Shajahan Bhuiya, Mr. S.M. Mohsin, Joint Director of Bangladesh Bank, Mr. Fazlul Karim, Joint Director of DCCI and Mr. Sadrul Asrar, President, Young Leader Association spoke on the occasion. Mr. Shibli Shahriar, Assistant Professor of Daffodil International University spoke on motivation to be an entrepreneur and demonstrated the process of project submission.

In their speech, the speakers emphasized on necessary preparations for the students to develop their career as successful entrepreneur. In the workshop, speakers also discussed innovative ideas for business, development of project proposal and the preparations for entrepreneurship development. They also emphasized on hard work and positive attitude to be the entrepreneurs.

It is to be mentioned that this motivational workshop was very helpful to encourage ASAUB’s students to prepare project proposal. DCCI will also organize this kind of workshop in govt. and private universities in near future. For ÒDCCI Entrepreneurship and Innovation Expo 2013”, DCCI has called for project proposals to the interested persons. Anyone can submit his/her project through DCCI website within 15 September 2013.

Prof. Dr. Abu Daud Hasan, Dean, Faculty of Arts & Social Sciences, Professor Dr. Md. Iqbal Hossain, Acting Dean, Faculty of Business, Mr. Ahasun Habib, Chairman, Department of Applied Sociology, teachers from various departments and students were also present in the program.
