Seminar on “Cooperation and Collaboration in Education and Research between ASA University Bangladesh and Soongsil University, Korea”.
ASA University Bangladesh (ASAUB) organized a seminar on “Cooperation and Collaboration in Education and Research between ASA University Bangladesh and Soongsil University, Korea”.
This seminar took place in the Conference Room of its Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) on Wednesday (13 August). The seminar was graced by eminent guests and focused on fostering academic exchange, joint research, and skill development for students.
The program was chaired by Prof. Dr. S. M. Rezaul Karim, Vice Chancellor of ASAUB. The Chief Guest, Prof. Dr. Masuma Habib, Member of the university Grants Commission (UGC), delivered an insightful address highlighting UGC’s ongoing support for research and development in higher education institutions. She encouraged ASAUB to do these types of seminar regularly.
The Keynote Speaker, Prof. Dr. Moses Cho, Choon Ho, Global Consultant to Soongsil University, shared a proposed joint work plan between ASAUB and Soongsil University. He introduced the idea of launching an Open Online Master’s Program at ASAUB, enabling wider access to advanced education. He emphasized the importance of preparing students to be skillful, innovative, and industry-ready — focusing more on practical competencies than merely degrees or certificates.
In his Chair’s Speech, Prof. Dr. S. M. Rezaul Karim extended heartfelt thanks to the Chief Guest, Keynote Speaker, Deans, Chairmen, faculty members, officers, staff, and students for their participation. He expressed his deep” preciation for Soongsil University’s willingness to collaborate and outlined his expectations for joint academic, research, and training initiatives. The Vice Chancellor assured that ASAUB would work closely with Soongsil University to implement collaborative projects and enhance the institution’s academic excellence.
The seminar concluded with a mutual commitment to strengthen ties between ASAUB and Soongsil University, with a shared vision of improving education quality, fostering innovation, and developing skilled graduates ready to meet global challenges.
