National Mourning Day

ASA University Bangladesh (ASAUB) observed the National Mourning Day marking the 40th death anniversary of the father of the nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman with due respect and solemnity on 15 August 2015. On the occasion, the authority of ASAUB organized a discussion program on the life and activity of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. Prof. Dr. Dalem Ch. Barman, Vice Chancellor of ASAUB presided over the discussion program.
Prof. Dr. A.K.M. Helal uz Zaman, Treasurer, Prof. Md. Muinuddin Khan, Adviser, Prof. Dr. Abu Daud Hasan, Dean, Faculty of Arts & Social Science, Prof. Md. Nazrul Islam, Dean Faculty of Business, Mr. Md. Saiful Alam, Acting Dean, Faculty of Law, Prof. Dr. Kohinur Begum, Dean, Faculty of Science & Engineering, teachers and students from different departments spoke on the program. Prof. S Aminul Islam, Chairman, Dept. of Applied Sociology coordinated the program. Registrar of ASAUB Mr. Md. Khalequzzman delivered the welcome speech while Mr. Mohammad Masudur Rahman, Deputy Registrar of ASAUB conducted the program.
The speakers discussed on various aspects of the life of Bangabandhu and relentless struggles by him for liberation and independence of sovereign Bangladesh. They emphasized on the uncompromising leadership of the visionary leader who united the whole Bangalee nation to sacrifice everything for the cause of liberation and independence.
Chairmen, teachers and students from different departments, officials of ASAUB were present in the discussion program.
