Dr. Cho Choon Ho (A renowned Korean Professor’s) courtesy visit with Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. S. M. Rezaul Karim

Mr. Cho Choon Ho, a distinguished specialist in Oriental Medicine and a dedicated pastoral theologian, today paid a courtesy visit to the Vice Chancellor of ASA University Bangladesh (ASAUB) Professor Dr. S. M. Rezaul Karim.

During the meeting, he expressed his keen interest in collaborating with the Department of Public Health to offer seminars focusing on the possibility of offering hands-on training sessions for the students.

Oriental Medicine, rooted in traditional Chinese healing practices, incorporates herbal remedies, acupuncture, Tai Chi techniques, and other holistic methods. Dr. Cho’s unique approach combines these ancient techniques with the principles of spiritual care, reflecting his background in pastoral theology. He emphasized the role of emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being in the healing process, aiming to promote a more compassionate and integrative approach to public health.

A few months ago, Dr. Cho visited the Department of Public Health and held preliminary discussions about launching collaborative initiatives. Building on that interest, he now seeks to formally share the benefits of Oriental Medicine as a natural, preventive, and complementary healthcare method.

The Vice Chancellor welcomed Dr. Cho’s proposal and assured him of the university’s full support in organizing future sessions, workshops, and joint initiatives. This collaboration is expected to enrich the academic knowledge of students while introducing them to alternative and holistic healthcare models grounded in both science and compassion. At this time, our Vice Chancellor exchanged gifts with him.
